L’ELOQUENZA, founded and conducted by Jonathan Brandani, is a period-instrument orchestra which gathers together some of Europe’s finest players.

 

As the name itself suggests, L’ELOQUENZA’s main aim is to highlight the eloquent and rhetoric aspect of music interpretation, underlining the strong communicative potential which is so characteristic of the music of past centuries.

 

Grounding its interpretations on an accurate investigation of musical sources and of historic performance practices, L’ELOQUENZA wants to emphasize the originality and modernity of older repertoire, allowing the music to talk with spontaneity to today’s audiences.
